Surface treatment of metal components - durable and functional

We offer a variety of options for post-production finishing and corrosion protection of your components.

After production and heat treatment, we work with our partners to refine the surfaces of your components. The surface properties vary depending on the material, function and application of the workpieces. By refining the surface, your metal parts are not only protected against wear and friction, but are also, if necessary, electrically conductive.

Choose between anodising, chrome plating, passivation, tempering or painting - the choice is yours. We will be more than happy to advise you on which finishing processes are compatible with your components and their functions.

Anodising your aluminium components

The anodising process is ideal for light metals such as aluminium. This way, your aluminium components can be permanently protected against corrosion. The colour varies from light to dark silver-grey. By adding colour pigments, it is possible to create different colours, such as B. black, anthracite, red, blue or gold.

What is anodising?

The anodising process is a widespread form of anodising. In this coating process, the aluminium component is immersed in an electrolyte bath. The result of the process is a 5 to 30 micrometre thin oxide layer (depending on the alloy used) which protects the surface.

Corrosion protection of steel components

There are different methods that can be used to permanently protect your steel components from corrosion. Parts are often electrolytically coated with zinc. Protection can be further enhanced by additional passivation or chromating. This results in a decoratively attractive surface that is slightly bluish or iridescent yellow in colour.

Other options for surface treatment of steel components include:

  • Black oxide coating (a deep black layer of iron oxide with short-term protection against corrosion resulting from immersion of the components in acidic or alkaline solutions).
  • A base primer.
  • Painting.
Laser engraving

Laser engraving of your components

Would you like to mark your components to your own specifications? We use laser engraving for quick and permanent numbering and labelling of your finished components. In addition to production, we also take care of the next step of the process for you, the surface treatment and assembly. This allows you to create capacities in one place and save on costs and procurement time simultaneously.

Do you have a challenge, but don’t know how to deal with it?
